Arden Farm Gluten Free Chocolate Cookie Review

I Failed... yup... I tried to make chocolate chip cookies from Arden Farms, and failed miserably. I followed the directions, but couldn't get the mix to mix properly. My guess? I didn't left the butter soften enough.

Banana Joe Banana Chips Review

I have found my favorite Banana Chips of all time. Unfortunately they do not sell them in the US, but you better believe as soon as they do, I will be out, and buying a bag, or two! Banana Joe chips are full of flavor and their motto is "believe in taste".

No MSG
Made with Natural Oils
Non-GMO Bananas
Contains low sodium
Contains no preservatives
and Gluten Free

They use a banana I've never heard of. It's their secret ingredient. The banana is called "hom thong". They are harder to source, but they are used because they taste better than any other banana out there. There are three flavors of the chips: Sea Salt, Tokyo Custard, and my absolute favorite Sriracha Chili. Sriracha Chili was the first one I tried, and didn't want to put it down. I've never tasted a banana chip so full of flavor, and so incredibly good. I also loved the spice of it. It was definitely spicy and definitely grabbed my attention.
-- I shared a few pieces with a co-worker and he tried to steal the bag from me.. Not happening! I received two bags of each flavor, and my Sriracha Chili is all gone :(.
Sea Salt is also really good. They really don't taste like banana chips, but they are full of flavor, and they are quite good! They are also good for you!
Tokyo Custard is the last flavor I received. I haven't tried this yet, as I don't want my chips to end. I really want more!

These banana chips are a must have! You can check them out on facebook, and twitter.

OCHO Candy Review

There's so many different types of chocolate bars out there, and I was lucky enough to try Ocho Organic Candy Bars. They are organic and are very delicious. There's five statements that they believe in. They are:

We believe in the candy bar – candy bars should be fun and delicious.
We believe that our customers should not have to eat candy bars that have preservatives, additives and artificial flavors.
We believe small is the new big – our bars are a bit smaller in size, but bigger in taste, freshness and fine ingredients.
We believe that candy bars should be made by candy makers and confectioners and not by large conglomerates.
We believe that being passionate about making delicious, organic candy bars is our most important ingredient.

I was sent a box that contained each of their flavors.
The flavors are:
Caramel and Peanut
Coconut
Peanut Butter
Mocha
Dark Coffee

I'm a huge coconut+chocolate fan. Not only did I receive the bars, but I also received the minis too. You better believe the coconut bars were gone first. I was a bit hesitant about the dark coffee and mocha, but they were good as well. The mocha has this espresso nougat inside of it, and every bite was tasteful. I love peanuts, and I love caramel, so the caramel peanut bar was a great treat. I still have the peanut butter bar left, but that's okay, every once in awhile you need some chocolate :)

My contact at Ocho asked me to use one of the bars in a recipe, and I have to apologize that I didn't. I used to be really creative, but as of lately I lost that touch. I couldn't think of anything to use the bars with. However, I did melt a little bit of Caramel and Peanut bar, and dipped pretzels into it.

Watch the video below (taken from the website) to see how others enjoyed the chocolate:

You should check them out, and buy a few. You can buy them online. They are really quite good! Find them on facebook, and twitter.

Drink Sant Review

Sant stands for balance Sant is short for Santulan, which means balance. We don’t just value balance because we like standing on our heads during yoga. Balance is at the impetus for health, the environment, fortitude, peace, love, gratitude, and compassion. We want more of all that good stuff in the world, so we create experiences that cultivate balance in minds, bodies, the environment and communities. This is a dried superfruit that brings flavor to your beverage of choice. My beverage of choice at first was ice water... not the smartest move... it took forever to get the flavor from the superfruit. Then I tried it with some hot tea. So much better, so much tastier.
I only put a few in at a time, but it was full of flavor. I can't really put my finger on how to describe the flavor, but it was definitely good. It definitely gave me the flavor I needed to spice up my normal beverages for the day. Everything I normally drink is so incredibly plain, and it's good to spice things up here and there. I was browsing the website today and came across the recipes that you can include sant in, and omg there are so many good ones out there. I definitely want to try the Coconut water one. See image (all images taken from the sant website)
and then there is a sangria with sant. You better believe I'll be trying this out soon! I have some Sant left at work. I need to bring it home!
So what are the benefits of this superfruit?
Promotes digestion
Regulates sleep and mood
Cleanses skin
Increases muscle tone and manages weight
Just to name a few...

All you need to do is drop a few pieces into your beverage of choice and let it infuse. It could take up to 20 minutes to even a few house. With my ice water it took about an hour or so because it was so cold! The tea infusing didn't take long at all. You can shop online, but you can also help fund Sant as they are part of a kickstarter program. Go pledge and help them reach their goal! Find out more on facebook, twitter, and instagram.

Chipz Happen Review

I love chips and salsa. I don't know why, but it's one of my favorite snacks to indulge on. I'm always looking for new chips out there to try instead of the same old thing. I stumbled upon Chipz Happen and was sent four bags to try! They are healthier than your normal tortilla chip. They are made with NON-GMO Ingredients, Antioxidant Rich Rice Bran Oil, and Himalayan Pink Salt.
The four flavors are: Parmesan Garlic, Spice-z Parmesan Garlic, Cinnful Sweet Heat and Himalayan Pink Salt. I've only tried the Parmesan Garlic and the Spice-z Parmesan Garlic. Both are awesome. I've been having them with my lunches every day. Sometimes I pair them with salsa, or hummus, and sometimes I just eat them plain. They are good either way.

I need to get some vanilla ice cream and try it with the Cinnful Sweet Heat chips. They say it pairs great with it. I love all things cinnamon and can't wait to burst open this bag. The Himalayan Pink Salt bag will be the last. It will be a bag that I save when we have company over. It's always good to have a conversation about a new item they have never tried before and I can share Chipz Happen with my friends!
You can check out their website for more information and how they became an awesome brand. They also have recipes which you can include the chips in! You can buy the chips online. You can also find them on facebook.

Flathau's Fine Foods Review

Have you ever watched Food Networks Show "Unwrapped"? Flathau's Fine Foods were featured on there. That's pretty cool. Take a sneak peak! They offer all these cookies that they call snaps, and cheese straws that are just amazing. I received some of Flathau's and Maddie's Sweet Shop Fine snaps, and did I become obsessed. What's pretty cool too is that they come in a cool box, and you don't really need to do much wrapping if it's a gift.
I love all things shortbread, so you better believe I enjoyed every box I received (except for the lemon-- not a huge lemon fan). The original was pretty much gone a day or two after I received them. The peppermint has that peppermint crunch to it, and pretty much reminds you of the holidays. The butterscotch was amazing. I totally got the butterscotch taste at the very end of the bite. It's crazy how a snap can incorporate all the flavors they are offering. Then I got some cheese straws. I love cheese straws. They are so incredibly yummy to snack on. Just check out the other flavors they offer. Check out Maddie's Sweet Shop offerings. They are definitely unique, different, and very tasty!

Jerky's Gourmet Review

I'm a huge fan of Jerky. About a year ago I reviewed all types of different jerky brands. I was lucky enough to recently try Jerky's Gourmet.
A Jerky Unlike Any Other
Jerky’s Gourmet of San Diego has created a high-quality grass fed beef jerky made from solid strips of steak. With a taste and texture that is this fresh, it is no wonder the beef is sourced from cows that live well on a GMO-free, grass fed diet. These flavorful strips of jerky provide the perfect low fat, high in protein snack that comes packed into a resealable bag.

The flavors are totally different as well. I was sent three flavors: Craft Beer, Black Pepper, and Orange Teriyaki.
Orange Teriyaki is my favorite. The black pepper was also really good. The craft beer was a bit too sweet for me, but all my co-workers loved it. As soon as I said there was such thing as a Craft Beer flavor Jerky, they were all about it. I've never known any jerky to have a craft beer flavor. That was pretty new and exciting to me. They have other flavors you should check out. Some of their other flavors include: Ghost Pepper (I wonder how spicy this one is), Chipolte Tequila, and more. They even have Paleo and Alcohol Infused Jerky. It's pretty much unlike any other jerky I have had before and I highly recommend it. You can buy find them on facebook, and twitter.

StudMuffin Dessert Review

Are you looking for something different and yummy for Valentines Day? I have the perfect treat for you! StudMuffin Desserts in NYC. They make guilt-free desserts from scratch. They offer their signature cookies, and space cakes. They sent me some of their cookies in their stud buckets!
They sent me their Lemon Crisps and Sinners and Saint Cookies. Okay first off.... the lemon crisps are my ultimate favorite. To me, I don't taste any lemon in them. They taste more like shortbread cookies to me and shortbread are my favorite. All I have to say is that the bucket is half full, and I keep reaching for more. I can't help myself, but even at 8am this morning I was reaching for some.
You can eat 11 of these and that's only 160 calories. I'm sure I've had more than 11.. but that's okay!!

Then I received Sinners & Saints. They pretty much remind me of Chips Ahoy cookies all in bite sized pieces only so much better! They are so fresh and so good that in every bite you can taste the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
The other Signature cookies are: Sugar Kisses, Ginger Grants, and Jackie O's. I can only guess that the rest of them are just as addicting. The Space-Cake flavors include Banana Bonanza, Luscious Red Velvet, Perfectly Pomegranate, Grandma's Panckes and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. I'm so tempted to buy some for my co-workers for the upcoming holiday. Since the cookies are so good, I bet the cakes would be gone in no time. I almost don't really want to share!

My cousin lives in NYC, I need to tell her about these desserts and have her go out and get some. They are highly addicting, and are a perfect treat for Valentines Day! I would definitely recommend that you check them out if you're looking for a different kind of dessert! You can find them on facebook, twitter, and instagram. Go buy a delicious Valentines Treat today!

Snack Out Loud Review

I love all kinds of beans. I normally incorporate beans into at least 1-2 meal every day. When I found out there was a crunchy bean snack I just had to try them! That's what Snack Out Loud is. Crunchy Bean Snacks. These snacks definitely left me satisfied for quite sometime! These crunchy, tasty snacks are filled with protein, and fiber. They are gluten free, nut free, and are low Glycemic. This image is taken from snackoutloud.com it shows you the benefits of pinto beans. Pretty easier to see an image and understand why they are so good to you, than just reading.
So anyways there are different flavors for you to enjoy:
Sea Salt
jalapeno cheddar
tomato basil
ranch
and smoky chipolte bbq

You can buy them in snack size or family size. I like the snack size better, because I can bring them to work and they can fit in my purse or pocket. My favorite flavor of the bunch is the Jalapeno Cheddar. After the first bite I was hooked. I love that it's not too spicy, and you can taste both flavors in every bite. I also like how the snack satisfied my hunger. I was full for a couple hours after eating them. -- They don't sell them near me, but I can buy them and so can you on amazon.com (read my review there), or abes market! I definitely shop on Abes Market.com A LOT!.

They are also on facebook, instagram, and twitter. If you like beans and are looking for a great tasting, healthy snack, these might just be for you!
