Goose Foot Foods Quinoa Bites Review

I love all things quinoa. I try to have quinoa at least once a week. I love how you can make all sorts of food items out of quinoa. With that being said, I found a new snack that I really like. Goose Foot Foods has these quinoa bites that are definitely scrumptious.
I'll let you read the story on how these quinoa bites came to life, but here's a little bit about the bites themselves: "These morsels are not only tasty little gems, baked with quinoa, flax and chia seeds but totally packed with so many vitamins, including calcium, vitamin B's and iron and loaded with protein and fiber. It truly is a super food."

I received the Orange Cranberry Almond bites. I was hungry at work one day and I seem to bring everything I receive there anyways, and I opened the bag, took one bite, and was simply amazed with how amazing they tasted. I walked around the shop and had a few of my co-workers try them too. My manager was a huge fan. Every time she wants something sweet, she'll stop by my desk and take one bite. (They are almost empty, which means I'll have to buy some more). You can taste the quinoa the cranberry, the orange, and the almond in every bite. Each of those flavors blend so well together making it a sweet treat; or as the bag says "scrumptious".
They sell two other flavor combinations: Peanut Chocolate Chip, and Espresso Chocolate Chip. They are only 6$ per bag. Watch their kickstarter video!!
You should definitely check them out! They are worth the bite! Find out more on facebook.

Safe Catch Tuna Review and Giveaway

Every Sunday for the past couple of months I've been having tuna melts for lunch with my fiance. When I was living at home and I was a bit younger, we would have tuna pretty much every Sunday -- it was like a tradition. I love tuna salad. I love mixing it up with light mayonnaise, celery, and sometimes eggs. After it's cooked, I normally topped my tuna with some relish. It's a great lunch packed with lots of protein. For today's lunch, I had a different kind of tuna than the normal bumblebee tuna. I tried Safe Catch Tuna.
"Our highest Omega 3 tuna! Each delicious wild albacore tuna is caught with a pole and line, the highest quality fish are hand selected, and then tested for mercury. Each and every fish is tested for mercury, and only those fish that meet our strict mercury standards for albacore, three and a third times (3.33x) less than the FDA limit, are allowed to be packed in our cans. We add a touch of sea salt for flavor and that is it. No fillers, no additives, it’s GMO free and the cans are BPA free. 100% tested, pole and line caught. Safe Catch albacore tuna is hand cut, raw packed and cooked to seal in all oils vital to health. Most brands lose up to 80% of Omega 3’s in precook. No other brand can assure this level of purity."

Safe Catch tests EVERY fish for mercury before canning it. With low mercury, pregnant woman can eat it and so can kids. It tastes just like any other tuna in my opinion, but I like that it contains low mercury, and it tastes a lot fresher. I'm glad I was able to try out Safe Catch. I have a few cans left and can enjoy pure tuna for the next few Sundays! You too can try out Safe Catch. Enter below.

Tom Boxes Review

There are so many subscription boxes out there and I have tried a few, and I must say... the box for girls is the Tom Box. You can get feminine products, name brand makeup, and jewelry, It's pretty cool. I asked to review and I was sent some cool things. I didn't need the feminine products, and I didn't really know what to expect, but I must say, it's an awesome box to subscribe to. I received both June and July boxes and as you can see from the photos below some of the items I did receive.
So how does it work:
Each period cycle we send you necessary supplies as well as jewelry and makeup. Choose from name brand tampons and pads, tell us your skin type and fashion type and we will customize your jewelry and makeup to your wants. Each month our personal shoppers find the best jewelry pieces and name brand makeup to match your needs, those items along with your tampons or pads of choice are then expertly packaged and shipped via USPS to your front door. We also offer options to add to your box. Choose Venus razor blade refill cartridges and/or double the jewelry and makeup each month.

My favorite so far has been the nail polish. I received a teal type color that I don't have pictured here, and that's what my toes are painted right now. This July box I received baby blue. That is one of my favorite colors, so that will be going on my toes this weekend. -- I also like the different variety of makeup. I'm not a huge make-up wearer, but the items I received are perfect for when I do like to get all pretty. My mother will be impressed with some of the items I received. In every box there's always a variety of what you receive. I must say it's definitely a nice "girly" box. SO these boxes are as low as $10 a month. What are you waiting for? Subscribe today.

Cracked Candy Review

I don't know about you, but I always have something in my purse to suck on whether it be jolly ranchers, or altoids. While there are a lot of sweets out there, I'm always looking for sweets that are good for you and I stumbled across Cracked Candy, and I was sent two packages to try.
"I'm a Brooklyn mum making unconventional, healthy, handmade sugar-free candy. My love for sweet things led me to create Cracked Candy in 2013. It seemed unfair that the most delicious things in this world are often the worst things for you; so I started researching how my sugary cravings could be satisfied, without the sugar.
Years as a science teacher helped when I started investigating how to make the perfect sugar-free candy. After many months in the kitchen I cracked it. And so with help from my art director husband I've created a natural, sugar free candy that is good for you. Believe it or not, dentists even recommend it.
"

I received Peppermint and Mellow Orange.
The Peppermint reminds me of my little package of altoids. Makes my breath smell really good and is also good for you! I also like the orange one. It gives a little flavor when you're looking for something outside of "mint".

Cracked Candy is Sugar Free, Good for your teeth, vegan, diabetic friendly, non-gmo, no soy, no gluten. The other flavors are: Lemon and Cinnamon. Here's some fun facts about the tins I received:
Peppermint: Used for digestive disorders including nausea, vomiting, flatulence, indigestion. Clears the brain, helps concentration, is a restorative in cases of mental fatigue.
Helps nasal congestion, sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis, colds and coughs. It also helps eliminate bad breath, helps teeth and gums fight germs.

Orange: Well-known for its uplifting and calming properties. It can also provide relief from internal and external inflammation caused by infections by stimulating blood circulation.
It is known to promote digestion, ease constipation and increase the absorption of vitamin C. It is even said to have an aphrodisiac effect!

They are good for on the go, they fit perfectly in your pocket or purse, and they are good for you! To find out more, find them on facebook, and twitter.

Nicer Foods Review

Do you know someone that has a lot of stomach problems, or even IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)? For them it's hard finding foods that don't upset their stomach. I was given the opportunity to try a bar that is good for people that experience these problems. There's something out there called a FODMAP diet, and for me, it doesn't make a lot of sense, or actually I don't quite understand it because I don't experience these problems, but you are more than welcome to click here and research it yourself. Getting back on topic, sometimes it's hard for people to find good foods that don't upset your stomach, and when there's a place online that sells chocolate bars that are delicious, you want to grab them and order them.
"Each bar contains 7 grams of protein from natural peanut butter, rice, and quinoa, plus a touch of decadence from bitter-sweet chocolate chips made by world-renowned chocolatier Callebaut (the chips are dairy and soy free, of course).".
My type of ingredients. I love quioa, and I love peanut butter and there is 7 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, and 49mg of sodium. It's the perfect bar for me. The bar was designed by a dietitian that also has stomach problems and understands the FODMAP and designed a bar that you can eat and feel good eating it as well. --

There are other products on the page that may help out with your diet as well. Some of these include: Italian Sausage Spice Blend, Taco seasoning, and olive oils. There are so many different products out there for so many different types of diets, why not have one for people with stomach problems. There should be food out there that will give you some relief right?!!? I took this next image off of Pinterest and it explains why this bar is so good for you:

I'm glad I had the chance to try the bar out. It's so chocolatey and peanut buttery, that my taste buds were very happy. I was also excited to share this bar with a friend of mine who has IBS. I hope he checks out the site. To find out more about FODMAPs and also to find out more about Nicer Foods, check out their site or follow them on twitter.

Ricky's Lucky Nuts Review

I find that the best snacks during the day that fill me up are always almonds and nuts. They are just packed with protein and sometimes lots of flavor. I was sent some awesome nuts to try and they were definitely packed with different kinds of flavor. Ricky's Lucky Nuts are gourmet nuts that definitely keep you going back for more. "
We are “a nut like no other.” Why do we say that? Because our process is truly unique. We have taken some of the world’s best flavors – chipotle, coffee, curry, chai and coarse black pepper – the sweet, salty and spicy tastes people love, and dry-roast them in our own special way. Honestly, we kind of lucked into a process that lovingly bonds the flavor right onto the nut. Instead of something candied or dusty, our roasted-on process creates amazing little, flavor-packed Lucky Nuggets that make your mouth go “wow.” The sensation is a bang not a whimper.
"

They are all natural, non-gmo, and dry roasted. They have many different flavors for you to choose from:
Six different flavors to choose from.. how can you choose just one? The flavors are: Black Pepper and Sea Salt
Real Coffee
Spicy Chile Chipotle
Sweet & Smoky BBQ
Sweet Chai
and Thai Red Curry

My favorites were the Spicy Chile Chipotle, Sweet and Smoky BBQ, and the Thai Red Curry. I love bbq and I love anything with some spice. If I had to pick just one favorite, I would go with the Spicy Chile Chipotle. I wish I had more! I gave the coffee one away, as I'm not a huge fan of coffee snacks. I have yet to try the Sweet Chai and the Black Pepper. Those are at work waiting for me. They are Definitely a "Nut like no other" They stand for their name :) You can find out more on their website, facebook, and twitter. If you're looking for a great satisfying snack, these may be the nuts for you!
